Student Profiles
Kristina Caldwell, Junior
My name is Kristina Caldwell, and I am a junior in the Templeton Honors College. I am studying biochemistry with an interest in the medical field, and I am pursuing minors in astronomy and anthropology.
I chose Eastern after having seriously considered both Christian and Ivy League schools; but when I visited Eastern, I knew where I was supposed to be. I love the Honors College, because it pushes me academically, socially, spiritually, and intellectually further than I had once thought possible. My faith and love for my Savior has grown so much in the two short years I've been here, and in my classes, I am asked to do more than simply learn the material. I am driven to think, question, and apply the material to my life. The professors at Eastern, through their various disciplines, have made me consider who I truly am, what I am doing with my life, and where I am going with my future.
I am continually fascinated by science and the incredible diversity of career opportunities. I am still pursuing a potential career in medicine, although my field and vocation are currently undecided. While I may not know what the next step in my life is, I am excited to see where the journey leads.
